As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit we are building a coalition of interested public partners and individual entrepreneurs committed to the revitalization of the Historical Town of Boley, Oklahoma.
Federal and State programs can be stacked with private venture capital to revitalize the town.
Bringing new industry and creating jobs so we may see our city flourish again. A renaissance of the Town of Boley is possible if we work together.
The sooner we start the better prepared we will become and reclaim our place as a "Crown Jewel" of Tourism and Innovation.
Boley, Oklahoma is of significant historical importance to all Americans; however, it was especially so for African Americans. A safe haven for formerly enslaved people, Boley became part of the great migration post-Civil War, as well as the most famous Black Town in the world. Boley has contributed significantly to the fabric of American culture and history. It was declared by Booker T. Washington as “the most enterprising, and in many ways the most interesting of the Negro towns in the U.S.”
Boley was once the largest predominantly Black town in the United States. The historic Boley Rodeo is the oldest African American community-based rodeo in the nation.
